Moodly

Moodly is a digital daily well-being tracker designed to be used in schools by teachers and students. Moodly provides a holistic view of a student’s feelings and presents these feelings in a user-friendly way for the teacher, head-teacher and school well-being officers. Using Moodly it is easy to identify students who may need extra support or simply someone to talk to.

When designing Moodly it was important for us to design a product that provides maximum benefit, without adding extra workload for teachers. Moodly allows students to self-register their daily feelings using a simple user interface which can easily be loaded onto a class iPad.

With mental health illnesses on the rise, we at Moodly want to provide children with the opportunity to express their feelings from a younger age. We hope that by allowing children to identify and express their feelings from a young age then they will feel more confident to ask for any help when they are older. Something that could be particularly beneficial to boys who historically struggle to express their feelings.

Within the Curriculum for Wales it is now statutory to monitor the well-being of students within education. We feel that Moodly provides us with a good foundation to track well-being across the school and provide evidence to Estyn that this is an are we area continually trying to develop within our school.
