March/Mawrth 2025
We are excited to announce that Criw Cymraeg and our school are currently taking part in Welsh Month! We have welcomed Mr Urdd into our school and Nia! She told us all about the Eisteddfod in Margam in May and also some competitions we can enter for it!
Criw have organised a Silent Disco for all children from Nursery to Year 6 and also for the Urdd to come in to complete some lovely outdoor activities this month! Gwych!
Our Parental Engagements and Homework missions will be based around developing our interest in all things Welsh! Diolch!

Our ‘Siop Siarad’ has opened with pupils being able to exchange Welsh tokens for rewards! Keep up the amazing work everyone!
Leigh from the Urdd
Leigh from the Urdd came to complete a workshop on the 13th of December with learners from Year 5 and 6.
Keep an eye out for more events with the Urdd as we have the Eisteddfod coming to Margam in May 2025!

.We celebrated Diwrwnod Shwmae! We had fun encouraging everyone to speak Welsh. Da iawn bawb!
BRONZE AWARD
The Criw Cymraeg are working towards the Cymraeg Campus Bronze Award. They are working hard to deliver assemblies, encourage children to speak and enjoy using Welsh and to progress further in our journey. Da iawn, Criw!

A fantastic effort from four of our pupils from Years 4-6 this year. An excellent showcase of talent and delicious cakes! Our winner will go on to the next Urdd round before Christmas!
Visit from Welsh Artist Rhiannon Roberts
Diolch yn fawr to the local Welsh artist Rhiannon Roberts who came into school to help us make a fantastic piece of art! We sat with Rhiannon to think of ideas that would show our local area and our Wales. The final result was bendigedig!

Visit From Singer Bronwen Lewis 2019
We were delighted to invite local singer Bronwen Lewis into our school. She sang some Welsh songs with us and even let us sing song of our own!
