Summer Term 2023

Change

Big Question: Is change a good thing?

Narrative: This term our children will learn about the personal changes they are currently experiencing through coming to the end of their primary education, and ready to transition to comprehensive school. We will consider the big question “Is change a good thing?” We will think about how change has already impacted their lives and how it will in the future. We will consider the many ways change effects our lives; through puberty, choices, behaviour, financial, geographical and historical, and how all these can impact our ever changing lives. Will all these changes be good? We will consider how change affects our ability to be ambitious and capable, ethically informed,, enterprising and healthy children in an ever changing world.

Rights of the Child:

Article 12: I have the right to my opinion and for adults to listen and take it seriously.

Article 28: I have the right to an education.

A great way to develop your child’s confidence in learning is for them to spend at least 10 minutes a day encouraging your child to read, whether that be silently to themselves or aloud, this has s huge impact on all language skill and development.

Water Bottles/ Snack

Water bottles to be brought daily to school please. A piece of fruit/ snack can be brought for breaktime or alternatively, you can pay £1.50 per week (30p a day) for snack in school.
